Frequently asked questions

Sudan Registry is a private, independent company, not a government body, and our certificate is not a title deed.

Before you pay

1. How much does it cost, and is it worth it?

Property: $99.95 USD, one time (includes the certificate and blockchain hash). Vehicle: $79.98 USD, one time (SVR number, blockchain record, and certificate). No subscriptions, no hidden fees. Searching the Property Map and Find My Vehicle are free. Why it's worth it: Sudan's war has destroyed, looted, and cut people off from local land records. A record created now is timestamped, held outside Sudan, and impossible to alter, so if someone later claims your property, they cannot pretend their claim came first. It survives you, it survives us, and it can be checked from anywhere in the world. You can download the real certificate design as a free watermarked sample before you pay. If our review can't verify your application, we'll refund your registration fee in full.

Next step: One payment. If our review can't verify your application, we'll refund your registration fee in full. Pick what you want to protect.

2. Can I trust it, and does the certificate have legal standing?

Honest answer first: Sudan Registry is a private, independent company, not a government body, and the certificate is not a title deed. It does not create, transfer, or prove legal ownership under Sudanese law, and we cannot guarantee that any court, ministry, bank, or authority will accept it. We also cannot confirm your documents are genuine (we record what you submit), recover property, or settle disputes. What you can rely on: a real person on our team reviews every application; once verified, the blockchain entry itself cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including us; and anyone, anywhere, can check it. If you ask (email support@sudanregistry.com from your account email), we can delete your account, your documents, and your map pin, but the blockchain entry stays. It is contemporaneous, independent evidence of your claim and of when you made it. If records are one day rebuilt, or a dispute reaches a court, that evidence is something to stand on rather than nothing. We would rather lose a sale than have you misunderstand what you are buying.

Next step: Look at the free sample certificate, and if dated, independent evidence of your claim is what you need, register.

3. How does the blockchain proof work, and how can anyone check it?

Step by step, as the site describes it: (1) our team reviews and verifies your application; (2) a permanent, timestamped record of your ownership claim is written to the Polygon public blockchain. The site calls this a “blockchain hash” and says it cannot be altered or erased; (3) you receive a certificate with a reference number (vehicle certificates also carry the blockchain hash and a QR code); (4) anyone, anywhere, can check it: enter the reference number on the Check Status page, or open the certificate on the site's Verify page. Both show the blockchain record with a “View on Polygonscan” link to the transaction, and the Verify page lists the reference ID, status, property type, state, size, and verified date.

Next step: Try the Check Status page to see how a record is looked up, then get your own checkable certificate.

4. I'm abroad. Can I register and pay from outside Sudan?

You can register from abroad: Sudan Registry is built for the Sudanese community worldwide, and the sign-up form lists the US, UK, Canada, Gulf countries, Europe, and more. Fees are listed in US dollars ($99.95 property, $79.98 vehicle), paid once, and your record is held outside Sudan and can be checked from anywhere. We accept credit and debit cards on secure Stripe checkout, priced in US dollars. Your bank converts the amount. For a payment question, email support@sudanregistry.com or use the Contact form (it has a “Payment Issue” subject); support replies within 24 hours, in Arabic or English.

Next step: Start your registration from wherever you are, no account needed to begin; you sign in when you pay. For a payment question first, contact us.

5. What if my application is rejected? Can I get a refund?

If our review can't verify your application, we'll refund your registration fee in full. Otherwise, the fee is non-refundable once an application has been submitted, because work begins as soon as payment arrives.

Next step: Apply with confidence: if our review can't verify your application, we'll refund your registration fee in full.

6. How do I register a property?

Start an application from Register; you don't need an account to begin filling in the form. You sign in (or create an account) only when you reach payment. Your answers and photos stay saved on your device for 24 hours and come back after you sign in or confirm your email. Pay the one-time $99.95 USD fee. Our team reviews your documents within 2–3 business days; once verified, your property is permanently recorded on the Polygon blockchain and you receive a certificate and reference number. The site mentions the documents it stores as your deed, your ID, and your photographs. You can download a watermarked sample certificate from the What We Are page before paying.

Next step: Start your property application now, no account needed to begin. You sign in when you pay, and you pay once.

7. What documents do I need?

For a property, the site says we securely store the documents you submit: your deed, your ID, and your photographs. For a vehicle, the form asks for vehicle details, the chassis number, and owner information. If our team needs more, your application status changes to “Additional documents are required” and you should check your email.

Next step: Gather what you have and start your application.

8. What shows on the public Property Map?

Verified properties appear with a blue shield and green check; pending ones are marked as under review. Anyone can tap a property to view its public record for free. The public map and the certificate check show the reference number, property type, state, size, the location that was pinned, and the blockchain fingerprint. They do not show owner names (including family names), the national ID, or your documents.

Next step: Want your property on the map with the blue shield? Register it and get it verified.

10. My vehicle was lost or stolen during the war. Can you help?

Find My Vehicle is a free service for families searching for vehicles lost, stolen, or abandoned during the conflict; no account is needed. Search by chassis/VIN (the last 6 characters also work) to see sightings reported by the public. Owners who register the vehicle ($79.98) get an email alert when someone reports seeing it and can message the finder. Please do not try to recover a vehicle yourself; contact local authorities or trusted community leaders. Sudan Registry cannot recover property.

Next step: Search free by chassis number now. To get email alerts when someone reports seeing it, register the vehicle.

Verification & certificate

11. How long does verification take, and how do I track my application?

Our team reviews documents within 2–3 business days. Once verified, your certificate is issued instantly. Log in to download your certificate.

Next step: Already applied? Track it with your reference number. Not yet? Start today and get reviewed in 2–3 business days.

15. Why do I need photos of me holding my documents?

These photos are required to prevent fraud and protect owners. The property form asks for two: one of you holding the property deed, and one of you holding your ID or passport, with your face and the document both clearly visible. Your documents are encrypted and stored securely, and only our verification team can see them. Start your application here: https://sudanregistry.com/apply

16. My photo won't upload.

Try taking a normal photo with your phone camera, or a screenshot of the photo, and make sure it's clear and well lit. On both the property and vehicle forms, photos must be JPG or PNG, PDF is accepted only for documents, and each file can be up to 10 MB. iPhone (HEIC) photos are converted automatically; if your browser can't convert one, open the photo, save a copy as JPG and choose that. Then try uploading again, or try a different browser. If it still won't upload, email support@sudanregistry.com or reach us here: https://sudanregistry.com/contact

17. Do I need an account before I pay?

No, you can start filling in the form without an account; we only ask you to sign in when you reach payment. Your answers and photos stay saved on your device for 24 hours and come back after you sign in or confirm your email, so finish on the same device. If our review can't verify your application, we'll refund your registration fee in full. Start here: https://sudanregistry.com/apply (for a vehicle: https://sudanregistry.com/vehicles/register)
